The breakfast menu has been renewed based on the concept of a "taste experience that will remain in your travel memory" Also offering bread from Shinshindo, a long-loved Kyoto restaurant Available from Wednesday, May 1, 2024
Oriental Hotel Kyoto Rokujo (located in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City) will be renewing its breakfast menu from Wednesday, May 1, 2024, with the hope that domestic and international guests visiting Kyoto will have the experience of a "taste that will remain in their travel memory."
In addition to the popular/standard Japanese menu, such as freshly cooked rice from Kyoto, miso soup with lots of ingredients using white miso, and Nanzenji tofu made by a long-established local tofu shop, we will also be offering bread from Shinshindo, a long-established bakery founded in 1913 in Kyoto. Made with traditional methods and carefully selected ingredients, this bread has been loved by local Kyoto residents for a long time, and you can experience its unique flavor and aroma. We have added a new "side dish salad" to go with both bread and rice, and you can enjoy it with your choice of dressing from three types: carrot, truffle, and sesame. In addition, we will be offering a new menu item, "wheat gluten toast," as a popular Japanese breakfast sweet. This new menu item is made by soaking wheel-shaped wheat gluten in egg liquid for about half a day, then baking it in the oven until it is moist. We will be further expanding our sweet menu, which you can arrange yourself by topping it with red bean paste or fruit to your liking. In addition, you can enjoy "Kobe High Curry," also served at the Oriental Hotel Group, and "Kyoto Udon," a Kyoto staple.
