Olympic Park A vast expense of over 1.5 million square meters, including the ancient site of the Mongchon Earthen Fortress dating back to the early Baekje Kingdom, Olympic Pack houses six sports facilities where competitions were held during the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games, commemorative monuments and 200 original sculptures by world-renowned artists. It was a venue for the Olympic Games held in 1988. It accommodates a velodrome, weightlifting and fencing gymnasiums, tennis courts, a gymnastics hall and an indoor swimming pool. One of the attractions here is the open air Sculpture Park With 200 modern stone, metal, wood and glass sculptures. Also found in the park are a lake with a fountain, a sprawling lawn, and Mongchon Earthen Fortress from the early Backje Kingdom period.
