Korea is situated on a peninsula, which spans 1,100 kilometers north to south and lies between the East Sea and the Yellow Sea. The Korean Peninsula lies in the northeastern section of the Asian continent, in the northwestern corner of the Pacific Ocean. It shares its northern border with China and Russia. To the east lies the East Sea, and beyond that is Japan. In addition to the mainland peninsula, Korea also includes some 3,000 islands.

Korea is preparing itself to be a major world force in the dynamic Asia Pacific area in the 21st Century. The Korean urban environment is one of the safest in the world; street crime is almost unheard of Korea is proud of its extremely low rate. Moreover, Koreans are known for their hospitality toward foreign guests. As well proved through many international mega-events such as the Asian Games and Olympic games, personal safety is not a matter of concern anywhere in this country.


The Capital City of Korea ----- Seoul
Seoul is the capital of the Republic of Korea (South Korea). Seoul has been the center of politics, economy, culture, and transportation of Korea for six centuries since Taejo, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty, moved the capital here in the third year (1394) of his region. Today one quarter of the nation's population lives in Seoul, which serves as the broadband core if all branches of knowledge.

Seoul has risen as a global landmark of modernity with many attractive scenic spots: Lotte World - an amusement park, Seoul Tower, the symbol of Seoul, blazing the night through, many parks and museums; department stores and other emporiums; jazz bars, cafes, a casino, etc. These make Seoul a favorite tourist destination where visitors find all the amenities and entertainment they could want.
